"It was time for an update," commented one of the Friends. The old furniture had been purchased when the library opened in 1997.
"We are really appreciative," commented Library Executive Director Pam Trammell. "The furniture purchased from Morgan's Furniture in downtown Dexter has been well received by our patrons. It's great to have the community's support as well during the Friend's many fundraisers they have throughout the year."
"The Library has already received a Thank You note from a patron," stated Trammell. "It reads 'thank you for providing comfortable, pleasurable, relaxing reading as a visitor!"
"We are just incredibly grateful for the support from the Friends of the Library," continued Trammell.
The Friends of the Library raises funds throughout the year for programs and services beyond the scope of the library, including their largest fundraiser the annual Fashion Show.
Shown in the photo are Debbie Agey, Graham Steuver, and Peggy Banks (President of the Friends) all seated in the new chairs. Standing are David Agey, owner of Morgan Furniture, Kay Asbell (Treasurer of the Friends), Pam Trammell, and Kathleen Dover, (Board Member of Friends)
