Shiloh Aaron Earns Positive Office Referral

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors Shiloh Aaron with the Positive Office Referral certificate.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter. 

Shiloh Aaron is a kindergarten student in the classroom of Mrs. McLaughlin.  He was referred by Mrs. Morrow.

"Shiloh is becoming a RockStar Reader because he is giving his best.  He is Respectful, Responsible and sooooo Ready to Learn!"

Congratulations Shiloh!

Seniors Receive Rotha Wilson Scholarship

Dexter, Missouri - The First Christian Church had a beautiful group of senior ladies receive the Rotha Wilson Scholarship during their Mother's Day church service on Sunday, May 9, 2016.  Each senior received $500.

FBLA Member Receives State Recognition
Poplar Bluff, Missouri - Poplar Bluff High School senior Christian Cmehil-Warn won first place in the category of cyber security during the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference held Sunday to Tuesday, April 24-26, in Springfield.

Scoring the highest in Missouri on the test has qualified Cmehil-Warn to participate in the National Leadership Conference June 29-July 2 in Atlanta. He also received an achievement award for completing more than 500 hours of community service.

DHS to Host ACT Prep Course - Deadline is Friday, May 6th

Dexter High School will host an ACT Prep course prior to the June 11, 2016 ACT

 

This course is offered free of charge. All classes will begin each day @ 7:30 and end at 2:00 p.m. Students may eat breakfast and lunch free of charge at Central Elementary.

 

-Thursday, June 2 - Pre-test and assigned to class rotation

-Monday, June 6 through Wednesday June 8 - Prep Classes         

-Thursday, June 9 - Post-test and additional comments         

-Practice tests and study materials will be provided.

-There will be a 30 minute lunch break, lunch is served at Central

 Elementary free of charge, or you may bring your lunch

-This course will cover English, Reading, Science, and Math.

 

The following requirements apply, please read carefully:

 

- You are required to sign up by turning in the attached form and getting a parent signature.

 

-You must be signed up for the  June 11  ACT Test to register for the class.

 

-The deadline to sign up for the class is May 6.

 

- You are required to attend all sessions

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School in conjunction with the Dexter Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Top 10% Honors Banquet on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
