Jamie Sifford, son of J.D.Sifford and Ginger Short Sifford of Dudley was born on December 17, 1977 at Poplar Bluff and departed this life on April 23, 2016 near Dexter at the age of 38.
Jamie attended the First Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield, was a farmer, a member of the Stoddard County Farm Bureau, a board member of the University of Missouri Extension Office and a resident of rural Bloomfield.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one son, Jamison Sifford of Bloomfield: by two daughters, McKinna Sifford of Poway, California and Kendyl Sifford of Bloomfield: by his sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Nathan Fowler of Dudley; and by his nephew, Bryce Fowler and niece, Braylee Fowler.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smith-Stevenson Cemetery.

Sarah Anne Hewitt, daughter of the late Harley Williams and Omaha Medlock Williams, was born on March 13, 1942 in Flint, Michigan and departed this life on April 20, 2016 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 74.
Mrs. Hewitt was a resident of Dexter and had worked as a relief operator for Purolator Filter Company and as a machine operator for Elder Manufacturing.
On March 3, 1965, she was united in marriage to Ronald Hewitt in Sylvania, Ohio. Mr. Hewitt preceded her in death on July 25, 2006.
She is survived by three daughters, Ramona Marie Burress of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Melissa Anne McGuire of Dexter, Missouri and Rhonda Sue Rowles of Blair, Oklahoma; by four sisters, Myrna Kidd of Dexter, Missouri, Leta Keena of Bloomfield, Missouri, Lois Robinson of Marble Hill, Missouri and Susy Hoosier of Bloomfield, Missouri; and by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Dan Williams, Billy Williams, Dale Williams and Paul Williams; and by two sisters, Mary Bell and Rebecca Williams.
A graveside memorial service was held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Jacqueline S. Griffin, daughter of Geraldine Leathers Warren of Dexter and the late John R. Warren, was born on May 19, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on April 19, 2016 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 63.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She had worked at Purolator in Dexter, Tetra Pak at Sikeston, as a waitress at the Hickory House Restaurant and the Hickory Log Restaurant, both in Dexter, and she was a homemaker.
On December 4, 1971, she was united in marriage to Bobby Griffin in Dexter. Mr. Griffin survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Tim Griffin and wife Amy of Chesapeake, Virginia; by one brother, Rick Warren of Tonopah, Arizona; by one sister, Judy Hester of Dexter, Missouri; by one special niece, Kayla Hester; by one step-son, John W. Griffin of Dexter, Missouri; and by one grandson, Jacob Griffin.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael John Griffin.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Lynn B. Carlton, daughter of the late Albert Velander and Dorothy Hayn Velander, was born on January 25, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois and departed this life on April 19, 2016 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 73.
Mrs. Carlton was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter. She had worked as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered in several ministries for the Lighthouse Christian Center.
On June 4, 1966, she was united in marriage to Jim Carlton in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Carlton survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Dan Carlton and wife Tracy of Lincoln, Nebraska; by two daughters, Julie Carlton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Cynthia Mosbey and husband Dwayne of Licking, Missouri; by two brothers, David Velander of Louisville, Kentucky and Robert Velander of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by one sister, Sharon Velander-Canfield of Imperial Beach, California; by four grandchildren, Theron Mosbey, Levi Carlton, Shaley Mosbey and Zayden Carlton; and by two great-grandchildren, Dean Mosbey and Alana Mosbey.
Visitation begins at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Lighthouse Christian Center on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

Rita Jo Halford, daughter of Charles Stanfield of Canal Winchester, Ohio and the late Velda Workman Anderson, was born on October 20, 1948 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on April 17, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 67.
Mrs. Halford was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dexter. She enjoyed singing in quartets and played piano for several area churches. She was a farm wife in the Bell City area for many years.
On April 19, 1968, she was united in marriage to Norman Halford in Oran, Missouri. Mr. Halford preceded her in death on July 22, 2004.
In addition to her father Charles Stanfield and his wife Linda, she is survived by one son, Bradley Dwight Halford and his wife Norma of Oran, Missouri, by one brother, David Stanfield of Franklin, Tennessee; by five sisters, Karen Tucker of Olatha, Kansas, Lori Reynolds of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Allison Hiser of Pickerington, Ohio, Charlotte Harris of Sulfur, Louisiana and Cindy Champion of Waterloo, Illinois; by her step-father, Bill Anderson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Marcus Flacy, Trey Anderson and Zach Anderson; and by one great-grandchild, Kurt Allen Flacy.
