Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors several students with the Positive Office Referral certificate.
This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.
Ameilia Robinson is a kindergarten student in Mrs. Christian’s classroom. “Amelia has gone out of her way to help others and work hard. She has been on red times in five days!”
Erynn Hawkins is a kindergarten student in Mrs. McFarlin’s classroom. “She got on red on February 22nd and shows the 3R’s every day and ALWAYS!”
Lincoln Duley is a kindergarten student in Mrs. Horton’s classroom. “Lincoln is a great student and is always willing to help others. He is a hard worker and shows his 3Rs wherever he goes.”
Lilly Graviett is also in Mrs. Christian’s kindergarten class. “Lilly is constantly helping another student in need. She goes out of her way to help her daily.”
Kameron Goodman is a kindergarten student and has Mr. Eldreth for music. “Kameron is always showing the 3R’s and is eager to lend a helping hand. She is a pleasure to have in class.”
LeeOnnah Kestner is also a kindergarten student in Mrs. McFarlen’s classroom. “She shows the 3R’s everyday.”
Melody Jarrell is a kindergarten student and has Mr. Eldreth for music. “Melody is a great positive behavior model for her classmates. She is always showing the 3R’s.”
Adeline Wunderlich is in Mrs. Horton’s kindergarten class. “Adeline is a great example of a 3R student. She always helps others and works hard. She always has Bearcat pride and is helpful.”

Dexter, Missouri - More than 300 T.S. Hill Middle School students attended the annual JR Beta Club Dance. In the two weeks prior to the dance, the students also raised money with their annual Mr. DMS contest.
Ten contestants raised $740 for the JR Beta Club and the dance netted over $1,500. Those students worked very hard and had a great time.
“This is a wonderful fundraiser for the JR Beta Club,” commented T.S. Hill Middle School principal Scott Kruse. “They raised a total of more than $2,200. That’s just great!”

Dexter, Missouri - Mrs. Mick's second grade classroom earned the Southwest Elementary Positive Behavioral Support Reward Flag for January.
School Wide Positive Behavioral Support (SWPBS) award is presented at the start of each month at Southwest Elementary. One classroom in each grade is recognized for exhibiting the high character with regard to observing the school's 3R's.
The 3R's stand for being Respectful, Ready to Learn and Responsible. The class with the highest attendance average, combined with the fewest disciplinary measures and general good character are awarded a 3R red flag to be posted in their classroom for the next month. The students are also awarded "superhero" capes to wear and parade around the gym before returning to class.
