Charlotte Cooper, daughter of the late Clarence Ivy Reynolds and Margaret Reynolds was born on March 1, 1950 in Jackson, Mississippi and departed this life on December 7, 2015 at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at 65 after a year long illness.
Mrs. Cooper was a lifelong lover of fishing, working in her garden and flower beds, spending time with her grandchildren, listening to oldies, crafts, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and an amazing cook, an ability which will never be matched by her children.
Charlotte had the uncanny ability to tell you exactly what kind of bird was in her yard and how long it had been since the last time she had seen one of the same kind. She loved having cookouts at her house and always thought "the more the merrier" even though nobody else agreed on it. Charlotte treasured Christmas spoiling her grandchildren with overstuffed stockings.
Survivors include three sons, John William Atkinson III and wife Courtney of Bernie, Missouri, Matthew Clarence Atkinson and wife Debi of Hollywood, Maryland and Charles Bridges and wife Cecilia of Dudley, Missouri; by three daughters, Tracy Atkinson of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Elizabeth Bridges-McClain and husband Donnie of Dexter, Missouri and Katie Bridges-Walters and husband Bryan of Dexter; by thirteen grandchildren, Charlene Maland of Chippewa Falls, Samantha Deysel and husband Jacques of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Destiny Atkinson , Olivia Atkinson both of Dexter, John and Rylan Atkinson of Bernie, Ayden Walters of Bernie, Landon and Madison McClain of Dexter, and Jacob, Gunner, Jaelynn and Elle Bridges of Dudley; by one brother, David Reynolds of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Cathy Reynolds and Mary Maxwell both of St. Louis, Missouri; also by many more family members and countless friends.
