Creature Feature Week at T.S. Hill Middle School
Dexter, Missouri - For the past few years John Stephens, English teacher at T.S. Hill Middle School has held a Creature Feature week offering students an opportunity to watch some really nostalgic spooky old cinema movies.

This year the Annual Creature Feature "horror" movies were from the 1950s and 1960s.  Kay Stevenson, Librarian, hosted the movies in the middle school library after school and aloud the students to eat in the library!

Concessions were available and students ate popcorn while they were "scared to death with laughter" enjoying Steve McQueen in The Blob, The Thing, and Crack in the World.

"It gives the students an opportunity to see old film and how "horror" movies were not quite up to today's special effects," stated Stephens.  "They probably are not exposed to some of these classics at home and it gets them excited about Halloween."

About 60 - 70 students participated daily for each of the movies and it is hoped that next year they have even more students coming to watch these "oldies"!
