Central Elementary Teachers Receive Surprise Visit
Dexter, Missouri - Central Elementary faculty and staff were surprised with a visit from Debbie Juden, Dexter Super Walmart Center Manager on Friday morning in the school library.

Along with cake, refreshments, and goodie bags for everyone, 20 teachers were randomly selected to receive a $50 gift certificate to purchase school supplies for their individual classrooms from Walmart.

The giveaway from Walmart is intended to help offset the estimated $1,000 a year that teachers spend out of their own pockets for classroom supplies.  Walmart and Sam's Club, in partnership with the Walmart Foundation, launched the Teacher Rewards program.

Through this program, Walmart is providing over $4.5 million to more than 90,000 teachers across the country for the 2015-2016 school year.

Pictured are from left Jessi Swims, Training Coordinator, Central Principal Angie Duncan, Debbie Juden, and Connie Pruitt, Wal-Mart Personnel Manager.
