The Health Fair is open to the public from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13th at the Bloomfield High School Gym.

Key Drugs, Hair Lingo, Sam's Club, Air Evac, SEMO Electric, Quality Choice Hearing, Cambridge Adult Care, Missouri Vein Care, Bootheel Counceling, SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County, Walmart Pharmacy, Security Benefit, Respiratory Therapy School, Massage Therapist from Fitness Connection, JoAnne Westbrook - Meal Planning, Stoddard County Health Center, Stoddard County EMS, Regional Healthcare Foundation, and the University of Missouri Extension Office will be there to assist you with questions or concerns you may have about their services and your health and wellness.
The following services will be provided: Pulmonary Assessment, Massage Therapist, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Venous Screening, Carbon Monoxide Screening, Medication Screening (bring a list of your meds), Personal Trainer, Hearing Screenings, BMI, and Vision Screening.

Sikeston, Missouri - The Sikeston Cultural Development Corporation (The Sikeston Depot Museum) is proud to invite photographers to participate in this Regional Judged Photography Show. Each individual may enter up to three photos for a fee of $12 per piece or three entries for $30.
For Adults (aged 19+), acceptable photographs for the competition can fall into any one of these categories: Portrait/Genre, Floral Landscape, Abstract, or Animal/Wildlife.
Overall Prizes to be Awarded For Adults - First Prize: $100, Second Prize: $80, Third Prize: $60, and (1) Honorable Mention: $20.
Juvenile Division (for photographers 18 and under), acceptable photographs for the competition can fall into any one of these categories: Portrait/Genre, Floral Landscape, Abstract, or Animal/Wildlife.
Overall Prizes to be Awarded for the Juvenile Division - First Prize: $75, Second Prize: $60, Third Prize: $45, and (1) Honorable Mention: $15.
Photography must be original, appropriately framed and wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Pieces can be no larger than 48” in any direction. The Museum reserves the right to reject any entry deemed to be unsuitable for public exhibition. If your pieces are for sale, the photographer will receive 80% of the selling price of the piece, and SCDC will retain 20% of the selling price as a commission. The photographer is responsible for insurance on all works. Works may be reproduced for publicity purposes.
Please deliver pieces to the Sikeston Depot Museum on Tuesday, January 5th and Wednesday, January 6, 2016 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The pieces will be judged Thursday, January 7, 2016. The show will run from January 8, 2016 through February 26, 2016. All pieces must be picked up no later than February 27, 2016 by 4:00 p.m.
A public awards reception sponsored by the SCDC will be held for all participants, family, and friends on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. For further information, call the Sikeston Depot Museum 573-481-9967.
Route 25 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route Z to Route H.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

The State Nursery provides mainly one-year-old bare-root seedlings with sizes varying by species. Seedlings varieties include pine, pecan, oak, dogwood, tulip poplar, cottonwood, sweetgum, cypress, birch, hickory, willow, persimmon, pawpaw, deciduous holly, redbud, wild plum, ninebark, witch hazel, serviceberry, mulberry, elderberry, and many others.
Seedlings are available in quantities of 10, 25, or 100 per species. Prices for seedling quantities range from $6-32 per bundle. Receive a 15-percent discount up to $20 off seedling orders with a Heritage Card. Orders can be placed until April 15, 2016. Orders will be shipped or can be picked up at the State Nursery from February through May. Quantities are limited so order early.
