
Dexter, Missouri - Friday, October 16, 2015 was SENIOR Night at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter. Twenty-five DHS seniors were honored during the pre-game festivities.
Kerigan Brady is the daughter of Garry Brady and Jennifer Brown.
She has been a member of the DHS Marching Band all four years and is on the Dexter High School Scholar Bowl Team.
Kerigan’s activities include DHS Student Council, FCCLA, Future Leaders of America, Dexter Honor Society, and Rotary Interact. She is in the Top 10% of her class and is the Student Body President.
She plans to attend the University of Tennessee – Martin and major in secondary mathematics.

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honored second grade students with Positive Bus Referral certificates for the month of September.
Each student showed great character on the school bus for the month and are nominated by their bus driver. Congratulations to all of the students.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3 R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.
Sidney was nominated by her kindergarten teacher Ms. Leah Cecil. She also received a certificate, a golden loop and a free taco from Taco Bell.
Sidney is the daughter of Mark and Kristi Booker.

Dexter, Missouri - The 2nd Annual Dexter High School Book Fair is slated for Monday, October 19th – Friday, October 23rd.
The book fair theme this year is “Reading is so much fun, it’s scary!”
Students, faculty and staff may shop in the library the following times:
Monday - Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
A special time for parents will be THURSDAY, from 1:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on FRIDAY from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. School will dismiss early on Thursday and will not be in session on Friday. Perfect time to pick up a few Christmas gifts!
Students, parents, and faculty members may also shop online or by using the Scholastic Book Fair’s mobile app. The online book fair will run from Monday, October 12th until Sunday, October 25th.
There will be a variety of books and items to choose from in the library. Additionally, by browsing online, or by using the Scholastic Book Fair’s app, shoppers will find anything from children’s activity books, to cookbooks, to how-to-books. Items purchases via the website, or the app, will be shipped to the highs school library.
All DHS students and staff who purchase items totaling $5.00 or more from the book fair will be entered into our prize drawing. Drawings will be held throughout the day on Monday, October 26th.
The first TWENTY-FOUR students who purchase books totaling $5.00 in the library will enjoy a delicious treat!
The first 100 students who purchase items totaling $5.00 in the library will receive coupons for FREE treats at McDonalds and Taco Bell!
The next 100 students who purchase items totaling $5.00 in the library will receive a coupon for a FREE treat at Taco Bell!
Prizes include: Mrs. Bruce’s famous cake pops, candy-filled insulated tumbler cups, signed copy of Anna Dressed in Blood, Gift card to Hickory Log, gift cards to BWW, gift card to Casey’s General Store, free pizzas from Casey’s, free passes to Malco Trio Cinema in Sikeston, and free passes to Wehrenberg Theater in Cape Girardeau.
