Dexter Middle School's First Cross Country Team
September 09th 2015 by Dee Loflin
Dexter, Missouri - T.S. Hill Middle School will make history this year! Cross Country has been added to the curriculum for the 2015 athletic season. They had their first Cross Country inaugural meet at Jackson on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. (A separate article on those that earned a medal will be available on www.showmetimes.com)
Under the leadership of Coach Leonard Morse, the team will compete against some of the best cross country runners in the state.
"We looked at it as we needed a feeder program because if we don't get the runners until they are sophomores they are already three years behind," Coach Morse said. "The top schools in our district are running in the seventh grade and have middle school programs in place so we needed a feeder program."
Back L to R: Cole Barker, Colby Musgrave, Logan Wyman, Carson Bell, Brett Pollock
Front L to R: Wyatt Parker, Ethan Kirkley, Madelyn Haynes, Gavin Cartwright, Andrew Ellinghouse, Rider Boles
