Little Lambs Daycare Opens in Dexter

Dexter, Missouri - Little Lambs Day Care under direction of the Dudley Church of God and Pastor Joshua Hester has opened in Dexter.

A total of 37 children will be able to attend with primary target ages of 3 years – 5 years for the preschool program.

“It has always been a goal of the Dudley Church of God to be able to minister to young children by the means of opening a daycare or preschool,” commented Pastor Josh Hester. “This spring, the dream that God placed in our hearts began to take shape with a facility in Dexter closed and the doors opened for us to obtain the space that was occupied there.”

The new daycare is located at 1017 Arvin Road just behind Patrick Roberts’ office.  Open Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

“We have been working hard since that time to pass inspections, obtain equipment and enlist the staff that will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility,” continued Hester.

Little Lambs Day Car is accepting children who are fully potty-trained with minimal accidents.  At this time, the preschool program is a two year program K3 and K4 utilizing the A Beka curriculum.

Each member of their staff is enthusiastic about teaching as your child will be about learning. They are dedicated to the values of respect and dignity for every child and their families. It is their goal to foster an environment that will help promote growing experiences by building confidence, positive self-concept and socialization skills while also focusing on knowledge and independence.

“If you are not familiar with A Beka, it is a very intense Christ-centered curriculum,” stated Hester. “For example, the handwriting element in the K4 program offers not only manuscript, but cursive as well.”

“Each day children will be challenged through the various “core” preschool subjects of numbers, letters and phonics,” Hester said.  “As well as the Bible, music, art, character education and healthy habits – this is an all inclusive curriculum that we are excited to offer to our prospective students.”

"We are also in the process of getting setup to take infants and toddlers," commented Hester.
