Eddie Lee Gay, son of the late Ramon & Francian Weatherspoon Gay, was born in Arkansas on March 3, 1930, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Malden, Missouri on August 30, 2015, at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 11 days.

He had lived in Southeast Missour all of his life and had lived in Bernie the past ten years. He was a member of the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church near Essex.

He was married to Betty Hill in Vinson.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Gay of Bernie, Missouri; one son, Eddie James Gay of Bernie, Missouri; two daughters & husbands, Lillie Belle & Theoplis Clark of Bernie, Missouri, Norma & Patrick Jones of Malden, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brian Gay of Malden, Missouri, Kevin Clark of Bernie, Missouri; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Flora Johnson of Michigan. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Sundayday, September 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Mt. Zion Missionary Church, 24481 ST HWY D, Essex, MO with Pastor Leotis Aikens, Jr. officiating.
