She had lived in Dexter most of her life and had worked at Swift & Company, the International Hat Factory and worked at the Crowley Ridge Care Center before she retired. She had attended the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter.
Surviving are three brothers & wives, Cecil & Margaret Gromer of Columbia, Missouri, Charles Gromer of Jackson, Missouri, Allen & Norma Gromer of Union, Missouri; a niece that was her care giver, Tracey Gromer of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Edwards, Virgie Allen, Annie Pruett; and three brothers, Howard, Alva D. and Harold Gromer.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dean Williams of Dexter officiating.
Interment with be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

She was raised in Perryville and moved to Parma when she married where she had worked at Winchester Place and the D & L One Stop.
Brenda loved her family and cooking meals to have them around. She made a mean chicken and dumplings and turkey dressing. She treated people the way she wanted to be treated and treated everyone equal. She especially liked crab legs at Red Lobster.
On October 6, 1973, she was married to Jimmy Smith in Risco, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Smith of Parma; one son and wife, Chris & Janice Smith of Risco; one daughter and husband, Teletia & Steve Prewett of Doniphan; six grandchildren, Cody Smith & Ana Smith both of Risco, Samantha Smith of Puxico, JC Pinkerton of Farmington, Allen Prewett and Brittany Hall both of Doniphan; one great grandson, Karrson Sisco of Puxico; two sisters, Mary Jane Combs of St. Louis and Patricia Hicks of Old Appleton. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sara Smith; two brothers, Stephen & John Wibbenmeyer; two sisters, Regina Thompson and Lillian Martin; and two nieces, Laura Wibbenmeyer and Renee' Weibrecht.
Friends may visit on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Nicholas Robertson of Risco officiating.
Interment with be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Betty June Noyes, daughter of the late Richard Townsend and Faye Wilson Townsend, was born on February 12, 1933 and departed this life on May 18, 2015 at her residence in Essex at the age of 82.
Mrs. Noyes was a member of the Vision of Hope General Baptist Church in Essex and a resident of Essex. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
On September 29, 1951, she was united in marriage to Harvey Noyes in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Noyes survives of the home in Essex.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, David Noyes and Vicky of Dexter; by two daughters, Carol Meadows and Larry of Dudley and Pam Niederstadt and James of Springfield, Missouri; by one brother, Clifford Townsend of Dexter; by ten grandchildren, Aaron Niederstadt, Hannah French, Lydia Ashley, Jason Noyes, Priscilla Kjorlaug, Leah Noyes, Ryan Meadows, Jessica Cassinger, Brittany Meadows and Stephanie Meadows; and by fifteen grandchildren, Rose Noyes, Phillip Noyes, Heather Noyes, Alexander French, Max French, Anastasia French, Natalie French, Olivia French, Rex French, Jesse Ashley, Caleb Ashley, Bella Ashley, David Kjorlaug, Maddox Cassinger and Aubrie Cassinger.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marion (Sonny) Townsend and Virgil Townsend.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. James Malloy and Phil Dawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hagy Cemetery.

On March 4, 1932, Sarah Ellen Wilson Shanks was born in Gray Ridge, Missouri to Dwight (Doby) and Mildred Lowery Wilson and passed away May 17, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 83. Sarah lived most of her life in Gray Ridge and Bell City and attended Gray Ridge School where she graduated in 1948.
Sarah loved her flower garden and always had beautiful flowers. She also loved to read and work word puzzles.
Sarah was well known for her pecan pies and fruit cakes and if she knew you had a favorite dessert, you were sure to get one made for you. She was a good neighbor and friend. She was good to help when her friends and neighbors were sick and made sure they had food.
Sarah attended the First Pentecostal Church of Morehouse for many years and later was attending the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter. She loved her church family and was faithful to attend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Loman V. Wilson.
Sara was married to James (Jim) Shanks on July 12, 1969, who survives of the home in Gray Ridge. She is also survived by two sons, Phillip Wilson and Jean Ann of Gray Ridge, Missouri and Keith Shanks and his friend Felicia of Benton, Missouri; by one brother C. O. Wilson and Kathy of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; by one sister, Mary Bollinger of Waynesville, Missouri; by five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and by a childhood friend (sister), Irene Jordan.
Sarah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On July 10, 1949 he married Vera Lorraine Norris. He spent his early career of 23 years at Scism Motor Company and later as a full time farmer. Billy was a member of the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church and also attended the Wappapello United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Hall in Bloomfield.
Surviving are his wife, Vera, one son & wife, Terryl & Glinda Almond of Dexter Missouri; one daughter, Dr. Donna Almond of Wappapello; two grandchildren, Rachel Almond of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rebekah & Jay Sims of Bloomington, Indiana; and one great granddaughter, Harper Sims. He was preceded in death by one special daughter, Sherry Szczeblewski and one sister, Lois Hill-Russell.
Billy was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.
