
It seem appropriate that this year's Class of 2015 will have their Baccalaureate Service on Mother's Day.
It will be a worship in celebration of and thanksgiving of lives dedicated to learning and wisdom. Dexter's First Assembly of God Church on the corner of One Mile Road will host Baccalaureate at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10th.
All graduating seniors are encouraged to attend as well as their family and friends. The public is also encouraged to attend this momentous occasion. Refreshments will be served.
Seniors are asked to arrive early to line-up for their entrance with their cap and gown. Photos will be take prior to the start of the service.

Adult meals are just $7.50 and kids ages 4 - 12 are only $5.00. Children three and under are free.
Meals include chicken and homemade dumplings, vegetable, slaw, homemade roll, dessert, and a drink. Dumplings are also sold by the quarter for $6.50. If you bring your own container they will deduct $1.00 for a delicious quart of dumplings.

Dexter, Missouri – The Ladies Ministry will host a Clothing Giveaway at the First Baptist Church in Dexter on Monday, March 23rd from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 24th from 10 a.m. to Noon! This is their 3rd clothing giveaway and yes all the clothes have been donated so they are FREE!
Why do these ladies have this event, well it is very simple! They want to share with others and with so many people participating these days in weight loss programs, etc people are losing pounds and could use a change in their wardrobe!
There will be a wide variety of clothing and many sizes will be available. There will be clothes for men, women, youth, and children. Just come to the Fellowship Hall entrance on Walnut St.

Donations are now being accepted in the office of FBC Dexter MO. All checks are to be made out to First Baptist Church, with Kids Against Hunger in the memo.
Sign ups will be held two weeks in advance of the packing date to determine the amount of equipment needed for this year’s event.
This world mission starts at 9am and is a food packing event that includes all food, equipment, and instruction on how to pack the meals. This is an assembly line type of packing which includes plenty of jobs which can be performed seated.
The work is easy and fun for the whole family! You have to see this to believe it. The goal for this year is 30,000 meals.
The cost is .28 cents per meal. This includes all the food, packaging supplies, shipping, and delivery of the meals. The time required to pack this many meals is only 3 hours!

We look this year to feed more families in Haiti and invite the surrounding communities to come and participate in a truly great world mission.

Dexter, Missouri - Sadler Chapel will host its third "Jam Session" on Thursday evening Jan 15th at 6:00 p.m.
Pastor Dave Fowler and the Sadler Chapel United Methodist Church invite any interested musicians, pickers or music lovers to an evening of music!
Those attending are free to come empty handed or with a song to sing, an instrument to play, or with a dessert to share. All are welcome! If it’s your first time... just come, there will be a gracious amount of food.
The music is local, organic, and whatever the singer/ instrumentalist offers to play within the bounds of "family oriented."
No reason to stay home on a cold winter night!
