“My husband (Bob Davis) and I established the Dexter Inn in the mid-1980’s, Prior to this, I was the assistant bookkeeper at Medler-Davis Chevrolet. At the Dexter Inn, I was the desk clerk and bookkeeper. I went to a school in Memphis to learn how to operate a hotel and what supplies to buy. There was a storm in Dexter the first week we were in business and the hotel was unexpectedly full of repairmen. So, we had quite the initiation into the world of hotel management.“.
