Rotary to Host Blood Drive for Levi Stinson
Dexter, Missouri - No child should ever have to experience cancer.  Little Levi Stinson of Bloomfield knows all too well the effects of being diagnosed with type B acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) does to his body.

The constant poking of needles and the ongoing chemotherapy are all too familiar to Levi.
His cancer causes the overproduction of immature, cancerous white blood cells and limits the production of normal red and white blood cells and platelets.

Levi is receiving his care through St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the top hospitals for childhood cancer patients.  He could face up to three years of chemotherapy and he has been plagued with upper respiratory infections due to his low immune system since being diagnosed last year.

The Dexter Rotary Club will host Blood Drive in his honor on Monday, May 4th at the Sacred Heart Church from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

They ask everyone to come out and donate blood or platelets in his name.  A donation jar will also be available to help offset the cost of travel to and from Memphis.  If you can donate even just a few dollars it will help Levi's family so much.
