Mock Accident Slated for Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Dexter

Dexter, Missouri - DON'T PANIC!  Hopefully you will never seen an accident like this one.  On Thursday, April 16th at 1:00 p.m. emergency personnel will be on hand at Dexter High School to demonstrate a MOCK ACCIDENT.

The MOCK ACCIDENT will be staged Thursday, April 16, at 1 p.m. behind Dexter High School on Brown Pilot Lane for the purpose of stressing safe driving practices to both middle school and high school students.

The area will be closed to the public, and it will appear as if a "real" accident has occurred involving teenage drivers.

Local police and other law enforcement entities will be on the scene, along with Stoddard County EMS teams and other first responders.

The setup will involve multiple student injuries and perhaps fatalities. Pollock stressed that the public should be made aware that although the staged scene will appear as realistic, it is a mock accident and not to be concerned with the emergency vehicles rushing to the school area on Thursday.
