Dexter High School Senior Shyann Jines
Dexter, Missouri - Senior night is always an exciting time for parents and athletes.  The Dexter boys basketball team held their annual senior night recently with three basketball players, three cheerleaders and one dance team member celebrating their last home game of their high school career.

Shyann Jines is the daughter of Corey and Stacy Blocker and Brian and Amanda Jines.

She has been a volleyball athlete for four year and a cheerleader for the last three years.  She is president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a member of FCCLA, Future Teachers of America, Yearbook Staff, Dexter Honor Society, and represented Dexter High School at Missouri Girls State.  She was a member of the All-County cheer team for three years.

In the fall Shyann will attend Mineral Area College on a Volleyball Scholarship.  Her plans are to major in biology.

Dexter High School Senior Brooke Anderson
Dexter, Missouri - Senior night is always an exciting time for parents and athletes.  The Dexter boys basketball team held their annual senior night recently with three basketball players, three cheerleaders and one dance team member celebrating their last home game of their high school career.

Brooke Anderson is the daughter of Billy and Lori Anderson.

Her activities include Cheerleading as a freshman and a member of the Kickin' Cats Dance Team her senior year.  She is also a member of the Dexter Honor Society.

Brooke's future plans are to attend college and major in psychiatry.

T.S. Hill Middle School 8th Grade Honor Roll

Dexter, Missouri -T.S. Hill Middle School announced their 2nd Quarter Honor Roll students.  Students must maintain a B average to be on the Honor Roll each quarter.

Making the honor roll is not as easy as one might think.  Middle School students who are high achievers acquire and develop excellent study habits and skills, especially in time management.  To manage time efficiently, students use a student calendar or planner. 

Successful, lifelong learners set aside a time and a space every day to do their homework.  Student who can manage their daily workload have a better chance of attaining academic success.

Congratulations to every 8th grader who made the honor roll for the 2nd quarter of the 2014 - 2015 school year.
