Dexter, Missouri – The Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association has awarded four Dexter athletes Academic All-State Honors for 2014.
Kendall Adams, Jessica Lindsey, Shyann Jines, and Julia Hahn have been named to the Academic All-State Team!
In order to achieve this prestigious honor, athletes must achieve a 3.6 or higher cumulative grade point at the end of the first semester of the school year and must have played in at least 75% of varsity matches."Maintaining a 3.6 GPA is difficult enough for high school students but factor in being a student athlete on top of that and it is really remarkable," commented Dexter Volleyball Coach Carmen Morgan, "Athletes have to be organized and manage their time because of all the extra hours they put in besides normal school time. Being a student athlete is a big responsibility and I am so proud of these girls for being excellent at both."
Jessica Lindsey and Shyann Jines are seniors at Dexter High School. Kendall Adams and Julia Hahn are juniors.
