Twin Rivers Swats the Hornets at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

Bloomfield, Missouri – The #5 seed Twin Rivers easily defeated the #12 seed Holcomb Hornets in game #5 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament 64-31.

Twin Rivers jumped out to a 27 – 8 lead at the end of the first period and never looked back. 

None of the Hornets could score double digits against the Twin Rivers defense.  Jacob Adkins had a team-high 7 points.

Andrew Mittelstadt tallied a game-high 14 points for Twin Rivers.  Seth Snider scored 11 points.  Matt Austin, Jase Worley, Chance Wilkerson, and Jesse Robards each scored a 3-pointer in the game.  Mason Douglas tallied two treys for the Hornets.

Holcomb was defeated by East Prairie in game #9 70 - 41 and will now play in the quarterfinal for 5th place slated for Monday at 4:00 p.m.

Bernie Puts Away the Eagles in Game 4 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

Bloomfield, Missouri – It was definitely one of the most exciting games of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament thus far.  The #4 Bernie Mules utilized Matt Vernon’s scoring ability to secure their win over East Prairie 76 – 67.

East Prairie led at the end of the first quarter 16 – 15.

Seth Bays recorded 5 treys tallying 15 points for the East Prairie Eagles.  Brandon Evans scored a team-high 20 points and Deverance Jones added 11 points.  Dylan Lingle and Dustin Bryars each added a trey.

Matt Vernon recorded a game-high 23 points for the Bernie Mules including three 3-pointers.  Brandon Sparks tallied 18 points including 2 treys and Caleb Ellenburg finished with 14 points.  Gavin Smith tallied 12 points and Devin Trammell recorded 7 points.

Kennett Dominates Doniphan in Game 3 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

Bloomfield, Missouri – The #3 ranked Kennett Indians defeated #14 Doniphan 64-48 in game #3 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.  Kennett scored double digits in each of the four periods.

Doniphan had three players score 8 points each; Bryce Hale, Klay Barton , and Lucas Moe.  Tanner Buck tallied a team-high 9 points including two 3-pointers.  Klay Barton hit two treys and Brad Eddens finished with 7 points including one trey.

Kennett tallied six 3-pointers against Doniphan.  Rantrell Caruthers finished with a game-high 14 points including two 3-pointers.  Jad Kenny and Carlos Turner scored 10 points each.

Bloomfield, Missouri – It was no contest for the #2 seed Malden Green Wave in their first contest of the day.  Malden had five athletes in double digits and tallied ten 3-pointers to secure their win over Van Buren 91 – 37..

Zach Griffin tallied a game-high 25 points for Van Buren including three 3-pointers.  Logan Sanders scored 8 points including two treys.

Reggie Reed tallied a team-high 17 points.  Cortez Dobbins scored 15 points including 1 trey.  Alejandro Gordon finished with 11 points including his two treys.  Shaeen Perkins hit for 14 points including two treys.  Shamrudre Barber finished with 14 points including one trey.  Dishon Ross and Orlandis Farr hit one trey each.

Hayti Beats Richland in Game 1 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

Bloomfield, Missouri – The number one seed Hayti got quite the scare from #16 seeded Richland when the Rebels jumped out to a 10 point lead early.  Hayti was able to regroup and defeat Richland 80-47.

Josh Thornton finished with a team-high 18 points including one trey.  Marcus Grayson tallied 16 points for Richland.  Skyler Harper recorded 8 points including one trey. 

Hayti’s Devan Riddick hit three treys and finished with 18 points. Indaqual Presberry and Brendon Presberry each tallied 14 points.  Kedron Rollings scored 10 points including two 3-pointers.  Amaurion Newbill hit the other trey for Hayti and finished with 5 points.
