Bloomfield, Missouri – The Bloomfield Wildcats varsity boys basketball program improved their record to 4 – 1 with a convincing victory over the Richland Rebels.
“Offensively, we played about as well as we could play, and really did a good job for all four quarters,” commented head Bloomfield basketball coach Jason Karnes. “We weren’t very pleased with our defensive effort the first half, but thought we did a better job defensively and on the boards the second half. We are proud of our guys and the way they have played the first two weeks, but we want to continue to practice hard and continue to get better every day. We need a good week of practice and preparation for a really good Advance team on Friday.”
Preston Tilley recorded a game-high 23 points including five 3-pointers for the Rebels. Marcus Grayson added 11 including a trey.
Noah Vandiver recorded a team-high 22 points for Bloomfield. Peton Bell and Tim Hector each hit three treys for the Wildcats. Bell finished with 15 points and Hector tallied 9 points.
Austin Bond recorded 16 points and Tyler Battles tallied 18 points for Bloomfield.
