Paragould, Arkansas – The Lady ‘Cats continued their quest at the McDonald’s Shootout in Paragould on Friday evening. The Lady Greyhounds of Marmaduke outscored the Cats 60 – 48 to earn a trip to the championship game.
Dexter trailed 17-10 in the first quarter, but managed to decrease Marmaduke’s lead to just 2 points at halftime.
The Lady Greyhounds were perfect at the charity stripe sinking all 17 of their free throws.
Melanie McKuin #11 continued her success on the court scoring a team-high 15 points including one trey. Hannah Thurmon and Krysten Garrison, both freshmen, scored 12 points each. Karaline Keirsey tallied 7 points including one 3-pointer.

Paragould, Arkansas – The Dexter Lady Cats varsity girls basketball team opened the eight-team McDonald’s Shootout by slamming 3-pointers to secure their win over Valley View, Ark., 62 – 46.
Melanie McKuin #11 put the Bearcats on the scoreboard first with an amazing 3-point shot in the first possession of the night. Valley View answered with a trey of their own. Both teams exchanged leads and looked great in the first period; however the Cats keeping the pace seemed to be draining the energy out of the Lady Blazers.
Dexter's defense looked much better on the floor tonight holding Valley View to only 6 points in the second quarter. At the half it was Dexter up by by 8 points.
The Lady ‘Cats hit seven treys in the first half and all of their first period points were 3-pointers.
Junior guard, Dakota Reynolds, led the Bearcats with a game-high 22 points including four 3-pointers and 9 assists.
Junior forward, Melanie McKuin, tallied 15 points including three 3-pointers. Freshman Krysten Garrison scored 9 points and freshman Hannah Thurmon added 7 points.

Dexter (3-1) plays a semifinal match on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. against Marmaduke, Ark. The Championship game is slated for Saturday, December 13th at 4:30 p.m.
Marmaduke defeated Green County Tech 54 - 40 while Paragould defeated Poplar Bluff, MO 50 - 45. Jonesboro beat Nettleton 64-52. Tonight's match-ups are: 4:00 p.m. Green County Tech vs Valley View and at 5:30 p.m. Nettleton vs Poplar Bluff in the consolation bracket. 7:00 p.m. Paragould vs Jonesboro and at 8:30 p.m. Dexter vs Marmaduke.Poplar Bluff, Missouri – The Bulldogs of Notre Dame and the Mules of Poplar Bluff battled it out with the ‘Cats of Dexter at Poplar Bluff Thursday evening! The Bearcat wrestling team prevailed once again defeating the Mules 36 – 33 and the Bulldogs 69 – 6.
Dexter has defeated Notre Dame twice, swept the Sikeston Invitational defeating all four Kentucky teams, defeated new Madrid County Central and Carterville at home, and Poplar Bluff. There only loss has been to Sikeston in their opening match. They are 9-1 on the season!
The Wrestling team will be on the road competing against McCluer South and Berkeley on Saturday, December 13th. Match time is 9:00 a.m. They will also participate in the Harrisonville Holiday Tourney on Friday, December 19th and Saturday, December 20th. The JV Wrestlers are off until they compete in the Cape central JV Tournament slated for Monday, December 22nd.

Benton, Missouri – The Bloomfield Wildcats improved their record to 3 - 1 on the road defeating the Kelly Hawks 81 - 49.
“Always good when you can go on the road and get a win,” commented Bloomfield head boys basketball coach and Athletic Director Jason Karnes. “I thought our guys played really hard tonight. They had some good contributions tonight from everyone on the team, both offensively and defensively. Just really proud of our effort and the way these guys are starting to come together as a team.”
The Wildcats jumped out with a comfortable lead in the first period 15 - 6. Bloomfield scored double digits in each of the four quarters.
Noah Vandiver tallied a game-high 21 points for the Wildcats scoring more than one bucket in each period. Nathan Newell also scored a two-pointer in each period and added one trey, finishing the game with 17 total points.
Caleb Pulley, Peyton Bell and Tyler Battles each sank a 3-pointer for the Wildcats.
