Veterans Day Coloring Contest Winners

Dexter, Missouri - SPC Katie Alsup, Missouri Army National Guard along with Sheila Alsup, American Legion Auxiliary President and Mrs. Kristie Banken announced and awarded the winners of the Poppy Coloring Contest during the Veterans Day Observance Program at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday.
Each year students read an informational book about Veterans Day and the symbolism of the Poppy flower during Mrs. Banken's Art Class. The students were then asked to color a Poppy in honor of all Veterans. Winners were selected from each classroom.
