Bloomfield Wildcats Earn Trip to the Final Four

Cape Girardeau, Missouri – The annual MSHSAA girls volleyball championships are this weekend and will be hosted at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

The Bloomfield Wildcats departed this morning after a very loud and exciting pep rally.  This is their first time in the final four since 1992 and their only state title.  Can they do it again?  The entire Stoddard County community is behind them and proud they are representing us at the state games.

Under first-year coach Sherilyn Long, the Wildcats (23-11-2) will play in the round robin against the likes of Fatima (32-3-1), Liberty (26-3) and St. Paul Lutheran (32-4-2).

It all begins Friday, October 31st at 10:00 a.m. when the Wildcats take the court against Liberty (Mountain View).  Then at noon they play Fatima and at 2:00 p.m. they battle it out against St. Paul Lutheran (Concordia).

The teams who finish first and second in each pool will play for the state championship.  Third place games will be Saturday morning through 1:30 p.m. with the state championship games beginning around 3:00 p.m.

The ShowMe Times will follow the Wildcats Friday and Saturday and will bring you live updates on Facebook and Twitter.  #WildcatPride  #FinalFour
