Bobby Gean Finch, son of the late Charles Fuson Finch and Eucel Macel Parker Finch, was born on May 12, 1947 in Malden, Missouri, and passed away on August 3, 2014 at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau at the age of 67 years.
Mr. Finch was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bernie. He had worked as a certified electrician at Media Press in Sikeston and was a resident of Bernie.
On November 22, 1964, he was united in marriage to Verbia Aldrich in Dudley, Missouri. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Bobby Eugene Finch of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two daughters, Verbia Lee Parker and Carolyn Ann Longhibler, both of Dexter; by three brothers, Charles Finch of Malden, Joe Finch and Marvin Finch of Dexter; by five grandchildren, Robert Finch, David Saylors, David Finch, Daniel Finch and Bobbi Ann Finch; by seven great-grandchildren; and by his companion, Tresa Davidson of Bernie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ruben Finch , Thomas Finch and Aubrey Lee Finch; and by one sister, Virginia Viola Finch.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Hubert Robinson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smith-Stevenson Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
Audrey Adams was born Feb. 24, 1944, in Ripley County, Mo., to the late Dan and Jessie Tutterow Payne and died July 31, 2014.
She was a member of the Logan Creek General Baptist Church, a registered nurse and retired from what is now Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after 34 years of service working as a certified critical care nurse for several years.
Mrs. Adams loved to read, enjoyed working in her flower garden, working crossword puzzles and shopping.
She is survived by her husband Delmar (Gene) Adams of the home; one son Tim (Stephanie) Adams of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Jade, Taylor, Jake and Austin; two step-granddaughters, Kelsey and Adalyn; six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren all of Dexter; also surviving are two brothers, Elmer Payne of Doniphan and David Payne of Fairdealing; two sisters, Lois Moore and Annabel Tilliman, and two women who were an important part of her life, Kelly Adams and Candee Adams, mothers of her grandchildren.
In 1992 she was preceded in death by her beloved first born son, Michael. Also preceding her in death are two sisters, Eva Jean Crook and Melva Vandergriff and one brother, Dossie Payne.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug.4, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Chapel in Doniphan with Bro. Curtis Crowley officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
Edwards Funeral Home of Doniphan is in charge of all arrangements.
He had lived in Dexter until after graduating and has lived in Ste. Genevieve and now in St. Marys, Missouri. He was a Baptist and had worked as a fork lift operator at Gilster-Mary Lee.
Surviving are his mother, Ruby Jones of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Randy Wayne Jones of Bloomfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Taylor & Josie Jones both of Bloomfield; two sisters, Becky Lizenbee and Katie Wilson both of Dexter; and a special care giver, Sharon Mooney of St. Mary, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may visit Monday, August 4, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 4, 2014, at 1:00 .m. at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Interment with be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

She had lived in Puxico most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico. She had worked at Tri-County Home Health as a home maker, was a self employed cake decorator and loved her family.
On December 13, 1941, she was married to Virgil Payton in Puxico. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1997.
Surviving are one son & wife, Larry & Lisa Payton of Puxico; one grandson, Ethan Payton of Puxico; one granddaughter, Sarah Payton of Puxico; one great grandson, Chester Payton of Puxico; and one sister, Mary McLean of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elvis Shadowens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014, after 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri.

Harry H. Swinger, born July 30, 1921, passed away July 27, 2014 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Swinger who passed in 1933, and mother, Gladys Snider Swinger who passed in 1983. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Helen Baldwin in 2003, sister Fern Gaines, brothers Charles, Otis, Lester and Hershel Jr. Swinger. Survived by two brothers, Marlin Swinger (Morehouse, MO) and Chester Swinger (Wabash, IN).
He is survived by 2 sons, Gary Swinger (Bartlett, TN), and David Swinger (Dexter, MO); and 2 daughters, Diane Pruett (Corpus Christie, TX) and Cynthia Brown (Sikeston, MO). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Diane Lemmons of Dexter.
Harry was a member of the Operating Engineer’s Union during his working career, and retired from that occupation in 1972 having operated heavy equipment and cranes on construction projects in many areas around the central part of the United States. The family resided in Benton, MO from shortly after WWII until 1972 when they moved to their home in Dexter, MO and retired.
Harry joined the US Army Air Corps in 1942 determined to be a pilot. He went through training throughout the US and became a gunner on the B-17. He said he was the smallest guy of the crew, so he wound up as a “ball turret” gunner. He was shipped to England about June, 1941 and was stationed there leading up to “D” Day. On June 6, 1944 he flew his first 3 missions in support of the “D Day” operations. He flew with the crew on 33 missions prior to their aircraft named “Fearless Fosdick” being shot down on August 13, 1944. He parachuted right into the enemy German hands, and was held P.O.W. in Stalag Luft IV and later Luft I until liberated at the end of the war. He weighed just 77 pounds when turned over to the American forces. He met several times with survivors of that 10-man crew in later years. His story was highlighted in an article in The Dexter Statesman on November 11, 2012. He was an American Hero to our country and to his family.
Harry and wife Mary were very active in the Order of the Eastern Star in Missouri and across the world, and Harry was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked tirelessly in the Disabled American Veterans organization for so many years of his life and leaves many friends in that organization. They were also members of the United Methodist Church for their entire adult lives in Benton and Dexter. They worked so hard with many others to get the Veteran’s Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO established. Harry will be interred at that cemetery.

A Masonic service will be conducted on Thursday at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Barry Winders officiating.
Internment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
