Bloomfield, Missouri – By the age of 10 the average child will have used up about 730 crayons. That adds up to about 11 boxes of the 64-packs! We all know that there is nothing better than opening a fresh, new box of crayons that have never touched a coloring book.
Not every student gets to use crayons at school, but the feeling of having NEW school supplies is a wonderful experience for any student. Several area churches will help make that dream come true for more than several hundred children with the support of HOPE International's Back-to-School Bashes.
This Saturday, July 26th, the Trinity United Methodist Church, St. Joe, Liberty Hill, Living Water, Assembly of God, First General Baptist and a congregation of volunteers in Bloomfield will host a Stuff-A-Truck event for school supplies at the Dollar General in Bloomfield, Missouri from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Students will need backpacks, 1” three-ring binders, notebooks, loose lined paper, folders, pens, pencils, crayons, scissors (blunt and sharp), glue sticks, boxes of tissues and of course any cash donation would be welcome.
Bloomfield’s Back-to-School Bash hosted by HOPE International will be held on August 12th from 10 – 1 p.m. at the FEMA building on the Bloomfield High School campus. Please register at HOPE International in Bernie by clicking HERE.
