Stoddard County, Missouri - The National Weather Service in Paducah, KY has issued FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY!

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR... BUTLER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI... RIPLEY COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI... STODDARD COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI... WAYNE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 730 PM CDT.

* AT 425 PM CDT A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND STRONG STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI. DOPPLER RADAR HOURLY RAINFALL ESTIMATES RANGE BETWEEN 2 AND 2.5 INCHES AND MANY COMMUNITIES MAY RECEIVE ANOTHER ONE TO 2 INCHES OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. SOME AREAS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED INCLUDE POPLAR BLUFF, DONIPHAN, DEXTER AND WAYNE CITY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
