Raymond Louis Webber, Jr.
Raymond Louis "Junior" Webber, Jr., son of the late Raymond Louis, Sr. and Emma Elizabeth Boyer Webber, was born in Dexter, Missouri on  July 3, 1928, and passed away on May 6, 2014, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 85 years, 10  months and 3 days.

He had lived in Dexter most of his life with the exception of nine years spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a longtime faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter. He and his father had the Webber Nash-Rambler dealership in Dexter for many years; he then owned and operated Webber Motors until his retirement.

He had been a member of the Dexter Rotary Club for almost 50 years where he served as president, was honored as Rotarian of the Year, a Paul Harris Fellow, and was instrumental in starting the "Toys for Tots" program in Dexter. He had been named Dexter's Man of the Year in 1988. He served on the Dexter Fire Department for almost 30 years and enjoyed fishing.

On August 4, 1970, he was married to Ernestine Monahan Ferguson in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are, his wife, Ernestine Webber of Dexter; two sons and spouse, Raymond & Sherrie Webber, III of Dexter, Jerry Probst of Mt. Grove; five daughters and spouses, Cathy & Gene Kirby of Dexter, Mary & Bobby Armour of Poplar Bluff, Theresa Brown of Bernie, Sherry Foster of Matthews, Tammy & Terry Crowley of Dexter; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosalie Turner of Freeport, Illinois and Llewlyn Burch of Joliet, Illinois. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sons, James & Jeff Webber.

Friends may visit Friday, May 9, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri, a Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mass will be conducted on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter with Father David Dohogne of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment with be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Rodney Rangel

Rodney Rangel, son of Toby Rangel of Dexter and the late Peggy Mosley Rangel, was born on October 6, 1965 in San Jose, California and passed away on May 4, 2014 at SoutheastHEALTH Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 48.

Mr. Rangel had worked in sales for Cingular Phone Service and was a resident of Patton, Missouri.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom.

On January 27, 2001, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Beth Chalk in Branson, Missouri.  Mrs. Rangel survives at the home.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by one step-son, Justin Masters who is serving in the United States Navy and is stationed in Guam; by one sister, Laura Cahow of Advance, Missouri; and by one brother, Randy Rangel of Sacramento, California.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jim Hook officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

Elaine Hutchison

Elaine Hutchison, daughter of the late Cecil Thurmon Harper and Imogene Musgrave Harper was born on January 15, 1948 in Bloomfield and passed away on May 3, 2014 at her residence in Bloomfield at the age of 66.

Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, and she was a Cosmetologist and Beautician.

On November 16, 1963 she was united in marriage to Lonnie Hutchison in Bloomfield.  Mr. Hutchison survives of their residence.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Tom (Jamie) Hutchison of Dexter and Jeff  Hutchison of Bloomfield; by one brother, Michael Harper of Austin, Arkansas; by five sisters, Jeanne Kingree of Bloomfield, Susan Lewis of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Cecily Harper of Dexter, Tina Harper of Branson and Jennifer Lincoln of Columbia and by seven grandchildren, Jera Hutchison, Payton Hutchison, Lindsay Hutchison, Haley Hutchison, Aaron Hutchison, Makayla Hutchison and Ethan Hutchison.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter in law, LaDonna Hutchison.

Friends may call at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Ronnie Stevens and Rev. Blake Brown officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the Bloomfield First General Baptist Church mission fund, 501 Christian Drive, Bloomfield, Missouri 63825.

Anice Smith, daughter of the late Lambertis and Jennie VanEtten Bruggeman, was born in South Holland, Illinois, on December 2, 1927, and passed away at her home in Essex, Missouri on May 1, 2014, at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 29 days.

She had lived in California and Russellville, Arkansas before moving to Essex two years ago. She was a member of the Calvary Temple in Russellville, Arkansas. She had worked in purchasing administration with the U. S. Navy until her retirement.

She was first married to Ernest Moore and he preceded her in death in 1993. On August 20, 1994, she was married to Thomas Brooks Smith in Coarsegold, California. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2014.
Surviving are four sons, Gerald Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada, Monte Virgil Moore of California, Bart Allen Moore of Washington and Gary Smith of Essex, Missouri; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Bruggeman of California; and one sister, Connie Sutton of Mississippi. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Meyers; two nephews, Gary & Danny Bruggeman; two sisters, Hilda Brant and one in infancy; and one brother, Johnny Bruggeman.

Friends may call on Monday May 5, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment with be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Chlora Christian

Chlora Christian, daughter of the late James David Lemons and Frances Heath Lemons was born on February 24, 1927 in Essex and passed away on April 30, 2014 at the Southeast Health Center of Cape Girardeau at the age of 87.

Mrs. Christian was a member of the Risen Church in Dexter, a resident of Dexter and was retired from Elder’s Manufacturing after working there for forty-six years.

On April 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to Truman Christian in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Christian survives of their home in Dexter.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Dale (Linda) Christian of Paragould, Arkansas, Gary (Patty) Christian of Dexter and Jerry (Ann) Christian of Columbia, Missouri; by six grandchildren,  Matt, Laurie, Dave, Stephanie, Cindy and Jason; by eight great-grandchildren, Chloe, Lauren, Caden, Eden, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Emma Lea and Aubrie; and by one great-great-grandchild, Lexis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy; by five brothers, Pate Lemons, Claud Lemons, John Lemons, Jim Lemons and Russel Lemons; by three sisters, Toots Peck, Opal Hart and Lizzie Hayes; and by three grandchildren, Mark, Angela and Brad Christian.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Joshua Carpenter and Rev. Steve Tippen officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
