Bernie, Missouri – Bernie Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2014 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference held April 13th – 15th in Columbia, Missouri.
Delegates representing the Bernie School chapter in the state competitive awards program were: Kelci Yates in Healthcare Administration, Lane Mayberry in Introduction to Business Communications, Alysa Cook in Local Chapter Business Report and Zachary Tanner in Agribusiness and Business Math. Lacey Johnson was recognized at the state conference for her Future and Business awards.
The voting delegates were Teresa Poe, Kelci Yates and Lacey Johnson. Other members attending were Amber Miller, Katie Blanchette, Alexis McGowan and Sierra Eberle, as well as local chapter adviser, Sharon Guy.
The Chapter was recognized for Increasing Membership and being a 50+ Member chapter, as well as helping Missouri have the second most members in the nation. Members enjoyed the keynote speaker, Kent Julian speak about “Living into Your Full Potential” and sharing his “I love WA-WA” inspirational story. Members attended a wide variety of sessions with topics including entrepreneurship, goal setting, national programs, public speaking and leadership.
