Michael L. Galloway
Michael L. (Mike) Galloway, 63, of Dexter, formerly of Slater, Mo., died Monday, April 7, 2014, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born Sept. 14, 1950, in Sedalia, Mo., he was the son of the late Ernest Leo and Bonnie Brauer Galloway.

Mr. Galloway was a member of the Slater United Methodist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Slater High School and had been general manager of Southeast Co-op in Dexter since 1995.

On Aug. 27, 1971, in Slater, he married Julia Martin and she survives of the home in Dexter.

Also surviving is a son, Martin Leo Galloway of St. Louis; two daughters, Amanda Galloway Cook and her husband, Brian of Webster Groves and Heather Galloway Gill and her husband, Cash of Dexter; three grandchildren, Michael Cook, Jackson Gill and Julieanne Gill; three brothers, Ben Galloway and his wife, Nancy of Columbia, Rocky Galloway and his wife, Cheryl of Columbia and Richie Galloway and his wife, Melissa of Liberty.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 11, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Slater United Methodist Church in Slater, Mo., and funeral following at 3 p.m. with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating.

Interment will be in Slater City Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials may be made to the Dexter High School Ag Department, 1031 Brown Pilot Rd., Dexter, Mo 63841.

Michael Dow Kingree

Michael Dow Kingree, son of the late Dow and Velma Lee McRoy Kingree, was born in Dexter, Missouri on August 19, 1950, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on April 5, 2014, at the age of 63 years.

Mr. Kingree had lived Southeast Missouri and Bloomfield most of his life. He was retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and was a member of the NRA. Mr. Kingree enjoyed the simple life an was an avid outdoorsman. Most importantly, his life revolved around being a husband, dad, and grandpa.

On May 27, 1972, he was married to Jeanne Harper in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Kingree of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons and wife, Richie & Kristi Kingree of Arnold, Missouri, Rocky Kingree of Van Buren, Missouri; two daughters, Adriane Kingree and Allison Sifford both of Bloomfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; David, Madison, Audrey & Kaitlyn Kingree, Logan Jones and Lakin Kingree, Kendyl & Jamison Sifford; two brothers, Larry Kingree of Cape Girardeau, Steven Kingree of Jackson; and one sister, Donna Hutchison of Bloomfield. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Ronnie Stevens and Rev. Dwight Hensley Both of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.

Virginia L. McClain
Virginia L. "Jenny" McClain, daughter of the late Frelan D. and Nellie Rush Witaker, was born in Bollinger County, Missouri on December 25, 1924, and passed away her home in Lake St. Louis, Missouri on April 1, 2014, at the age of 89 years.

She had lived in St. Charles and Bloomfield, Missouri before moving to Lake St. Louis two months ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

On April 3, 1943, she was married to Robert O. "Jigs" McClain, Sr. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Robert O. McClain, Jr. of Wentzville, Missouri, Allen McClain of Cabool, Missouri; one daughter, Pamela Pierce of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, ten grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Nadine Rose of Florida. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at  11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance, Missouri officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Barbara Ann Taylor
Barbara Ann Taylor, daughter of the late Norris and Susie Lucille Thrower Temples, was born near Dudley, Missouri on September 3, 1936, and passed away at the Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton, Illinois on April 3, 2014, at the age of 77 years

She had grown up in the Dudley area and had lived in Florissant, Missouri for many years before moveing to Godfrey, Illinois a few years ago.

On April 21, 1954, she was married to Darrell D. Taylor in Dexter, Missouri,. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2009.

Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Stickler of Godfrey, Illinois; two sons & spouse, David Taylor of Troy, Missouri, Kevin Lee & Stacie Taylor of Florissant, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and spouses, Rachel & Adam Sinclair, Sarah & Matt Talley, Gabrielle Taylor, Brett Taylor, Ashley Taylor and Amanda Taylor; four great grandchildren, Haleigh & Kynzie Sinclair, Karli & Clayton Talley; one sister, Carolyn Sue Sadler of St. Charles, Missouri; three brothers, Bud Temples and Clifford Temples both of Dudley, Gary Temples of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Brown.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Martha Sue Rowland, daughter of the late Ted and Shirley Denkins Jeter, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 30, 1959, and passed away at the Southeast Healthcare of Stoddard County Hospital in Dexter, Missouri on April 2, 2014, at the age of 54 years.

She had lived in Dexter, Missouri all her life.  She had worked as an LPN.

Surviving are two daughters, Crystal White of Republic, Missouri and Bonnie Howard of Dexter, Missouri; and four grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Bro. Stan Dauck of Bernie, Missouri officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Rainey Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
