Dexter Ends Their Season to the Kennett Indians

Cape Girardeau, Missouri – The Dexter boys basketball team ended their season with a loss to the Kennett Indians in the opening round of the Class 4, District 1 basketball tournament on Saturday.

Dexter held Kennett to a 19-19 tie at the end of the first quarter, but the Indians’ defense came alive and held the Bearcats to only five points in the second quarter.  Halftime score Dexter 24 – Kennett 32.

Peyton Pollock scored the team-high 12 points for Dexter.  He hit one trey.

D.J. Dowdy tallied 11 points including one 3-pointer.

Myles Urhahn and Austin Chesser each sunk a trey.

Dexter finishes their season with a 6 – 16 record. Three DHS players will graduate in May: D.J. Dowdy, Myles Urhahn, and Cody Neldon.  We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors and it’s been a pleasure to watch them play ball.
