How far would you go…to defend your belief in God?
College freshman and devout Christian Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper) finds his faith challenged by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo), a philosophy teacher who requires his students to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on the first day of class, or face a failing grade. The other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper. Josh refuses to write the words and Professor Radisson assigns him a daunting task – to prove the existence of God over the course of three short class presentations. If Josh’s argument fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail.
Though he had been warned about Professor Radisson’s distaste for Christians when he signed up for the class, Josh quickly realizes the gravity of the situation, and finds himself having to choose between his faith and his future. He wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Or will he fail and risk more than just a failing grade?
GOD’S NOT DEAD features a talented cast of actors including Kevin Sorbo (SOUL SURFER, HERCULES, ANDROMEDA), Shane Harper (GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2), David A.R. White (EVENING SHADE, SIX, JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN), and Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN), with special appearances by Christian super-band Newsboys and DUCK DYNASTY’S Willie and Korie Robertson.
Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman wrote the film. It was directed by Harold Cronk and produced by Elizabeth Travis, David A.R. White, Michael Scott, and Russell Wolfe. GOD’S NOT DEAD was co-produced by Lisa Arnold and Jarred Coates and executive produced by Trey Duhon and Robert Katz.
GOD’S NOT DEAD was shot on location at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and also in Houston, TX at the Reliant Arena during a live Newsboys concert event.

Weaving together many stories
GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together stories from multiple characters with perspectives on faith, doubt and disbelief, and culminates in a dramatic call to action: if you believe God’s not dead, prove it. The film opens with a glimpse into four main storylines: Josh, Martin (Paul Kwo) and Ayisha (Hadeel Sittu) are registering for class on a college campus; Amy (Trisha LaFache) leaves for work to find that her car has been broken into and calls on her boyfriend Mark (Dean Caine) for help; Mina (Cory Oliver), a Christian, and girlfriend to atheist Professor Radisson, is spending time with her mother who has dementia; and Pastor Dave (David A.R. White) runs into trouble while picking up a friend from the airport
SPECIAL NEED: PLEASE RESPOND!!
For those of you who have not heard of this movie, check out the God's Not Dead website and trailer at http://godsnotdeadthemovie.com/.
A large local group of Church leadership and youth leaders have joined together to attempt to bring the viewing of this movie to our local area theater. Otherwise, we are forced to travel as far away as Jonesboro, Arkansas to see God's Not Dead. Not only is that inconvenient, it does not offer the exposure of this great film to those in our community.
But your help is needed to make certain this happens. The local Dexter Twin Cinema management is working closely with the group show this movie. But the organizers need a few things from you to determine if this is possible.
1) They need a response from YOU to determine the interest in seeing this movie! Please go to the Facebook Event page that the SMT has created for this event and say that you will attend. THIS IS IMPORTANT if the theater is willing to offer the movie. CLICK HERE!!!
2) Share this with your friends and ask them to respond on the event page.
This will be the quickest way to help the organizers make this happen. YOUR attendance and willingness to support this endeavor is the key. But the group needs to know now. Time is running out so please "Act Now"!! (Remember CLICK HERE and show your support by saying you will attend the event.)
If you are a Church and wish to get involved, please contact Josh Miller (joshuam@firstcb.net), Josh Hester (pastorjoshhester@gmail.com), Loyd Rice (loyd@newwavecomm.net), Greg McGhee (glmcghee@gmail.com), or Nick Roe (Im.nickroe@gmail.com).
