Billy W. Summers, son of the late J. B. Summers and Ora Lee Elder Summers, was born on July 29, 1942, in Blytheville, Arkansas and passed away on January 23, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 71.

Mr. Summers was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Dexter.  He had worked as a car salesman, was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge and a resident of Dexter.

On October 27, 1961, he was united in marriage to Virginia Dees in Dexter, Missouri.  Mrs. Summers survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Greg Summers of Dexter; by one daughter, Gina Elder of Dexter; by one brother, Max Summers of Dexter; by one sister, Connie Avery of Sommerset, Kentucky; and by three grandchildren, Nena Summers, Logan Elder and Chase Elder.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Coye Summers and James Buford Summers; and by two sisters, Joyce Summers and Betty Phillips.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. 

A memorial service will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Lester Clayton officiating.
