Dexter, Missouri - Three Rivers College has added two days to its registration deadline, allowing new and current students to continue registering for classes through Tuesday, January 14 at its locations in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston, Dexter, Kennett, and Malden.
The college’s campus and full service centers will be open from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on both additional days. In addition, a special registration session will be held in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston, Dexter, Kennett, and Malden on Saturday, January 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the special session, prospective students will be able to finish the registration process, as well as apply for financial aid. Those wishing to register at the Sikeston Center must call 573-472-5223 for an appointment.
“We’re still in the process of making up registration days that were lost to the snowstorm in early December,” said Dr. Angela Totty, Vice President for Student Success at Three Rivers. “We want to give prospective students every opportunity to start building their future despite the weather delays.”
Prospective students must have their high school transcripts, and an ACT or Compass placement test score no more than two years old. The Compass test, which helps determine appropriate class placement in English, reading, and math, can be taken on the Poplar Bluff Campus without a reservation during the January 11 special registration session at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. To reserve a seat for a Compass test session Jan. 7-10, students should visit trcc.edu/testing.
Those interested in enrolling can browse available courses by clicking “Search for Classes” at trcc.edu. Current students can register online through the myTRCC system. Prospective students must fill out a free application online at trcc.edu/admissions.

Dexter, Missouri - Mrs. Thurmon's 6th grade students at T.S. Hill Middle School in Dexter raised over $1,000 to purchase wreaths for the Wreaths Across America event at the Bloomfield Veteran's Cemetery.
About 40 of the students braved the cold rain to attend and participate in the event. The students not only raised the money to buy the wreaths, but helped place wreaths on graves.
Thank you for all that you do and the veterans and their families really appreciate their efforts.
