Bloomfield, Missouri – The Dexter Bearcats and the Twin Rivers Royals went at it again this season. Dexter fared much better than their first encounter with Twin Rivers when they were defeated 53 - 25.
Ethan Flowers # 24 had the team-high 10 points including two treys for Dexter. Ethan is just a sophomore, but he is getting tremendous amounts of playing time. Cole Renken, also a sophomore, tallied nine points. Noah Kronk added 8 and D.J. Dowdy contributed 7. Austin Chesser only scored one time during the game, but it was an amazing 3-pointer.
“We just had a terrible start again,” commented head basketball coach Rob Nichols. “I don’t feel like we played with a whole lot of energy and not a lot of intensity throughout most parts of the game. A team like Twin Rivers is not going to give you too many easy buckets to build that energy so you have got to have that right from the start of the game.
Twin Rivers’ Jase Worley #3 had a game-high 11 points along with Zach Underberg who tallied 10 points.
Twin Rivers led the Bearcats at half 27 – 23.
