Missouri - We at the Missouri Department of Conservation want to remind you about a rich tradition and very popular pastime enjoyed by many Missourians this time of year -- deer hunting and watching.
Conservation makes Missouri a great place to hunt and watch deer. Missouri has nearly 520,000 deer hunters and almost two million wildlife watchers. Activities related to deer hunting and watching support thousands of businesses in communities around the Show-Me State, support more than 12,000 Missouri jobs, and boost state and local economies by about $1 billion each year.
Firearms deer season is approaching. Hunters can easily and conveniently buy permits online at mo.wildlifelicense.com/start.php.
Get more info on deer hunting through our “2013 Fall Deer & Turkey Hunting Regulations and Information” booklet available at MDC offices and nature centers, from permit vendors, and online at tinyurl.com/obxjp27.
