Dexter, Missouri – Three new safety officers were sworn in this week at the Dexter campus of Three Rivers College. Shown in the photo are from left to right: Jake Baehr, Joel Robinson and Brent Stidham.
Jake Baehr is a returning officer and Joel and Brent are new. Students should get to know them as they will be visible on campus each day. We are glad to have such fine young men on campus! Congratulations Jake, Joel and Brent.

Essex, Missouri – Last night was the crowning ceremony of Richland’s annual Miss RHS competition. Each high school class recently elected two class representatives, one girl and one boy, for this occasion. Last night, Tuesday, September 10th, was the 2013 Crowning Ceremony for this long-awaited event.
This year’s freshman class chose Katelyn Pinkley and Jerry Craft as their representatives. Katelyn Pinkley is a Junior Varsity volleyball player, Beta Club member, Library Club member, FFA member, Student Council representative, FCCLA member, FBLA member, and class officer. Pinkley was escorted by Jerry Craft, who is a Junior Varsity basketball and baseball player, a Beta Club member, FCA member, and class officer.
The sophomore class elected Jamie Smith and Dawsey Horton as their candidates. Jamie Smith is an FCA member, FCCLA member, FBLA member, plays saxophone in the Richland Rebel Marching Band, is a Beta Club member, a class officer, a Library Club member, a Student Council Representative, and is a Principal’s Scholar. Smith was escorted by classmate Dawsey Horton, who is an avid FFA member, a Pep Club member, a Beta Club member, and an FBLA member.
The junior class was proudly represented by Regan Manes and Joe Foster. Regan Manes is a Student Council representative, a Beta Club member, an FBLA member, an FCCLA member, an FFA member, is a starter for the Varsity Volleyball Team, and is on the Prom and Homecoming Dance Committee. Manes was escorted by Joe Foster, who is a Beta Club member, an FCCLA member, an FBLA member, an FCA member, a Pep Club member, a class officer, and a Student Council Representative.
The senior class of 2014 was represented by Ashley and Adam Lane. Ashley Lane is a member of the Beta Club, FCCLA, FBLA, Student Council, FCA, is a starter for the Varsity Volleyball Team, is a member of the Yearbook Staff, is on the Homecoming Committee, is a class officer, and is a high school cheerleader. Lane was escorted by her twin brother, Adam, who is a member of FCA, Beta Club, FBLA, is a class officer, is a member of Student Council, plays percussion in the Richland Rebel Marching Band, is a starter for the Varsity Basketball Team, and for the Varsity Baseball Team.
Before the JV volleyball game against the Bloomfield Wildcats, the winner was announced. Retiring Miss RHS Queen, senior Mckenzie Hillis, was honored to crown one of her closest friends, senior Ashley Lane. Congratulations to the new Miss RHS Queen, Ms. Ashley Lane, and to all of the other participating candidates!
