GAME RESCHEDULED FOR 9:00 A.M. FRIDAY, AUG 16TH

Charleston, Missouri -
The Fighting Squirrels made it to their destination and have been practicing hard and working on their strategy for the upcoming game this evening at 7:00 p.m. against the hosting team of Covington County, Alabama.

It's only the second time in history that the Squirrels have made it to the World Series.  With a 10 game winning streak they will be tough contenders for tonight's game.

Trey Tigart, of Sikeston will be on the mound this evening.  “We’ll go with what has worked well in the past,” stated Mike Minner, Head Coach for the Fighting Squirrels.

“We have started him in every tournament so far., “  continued Minner.  “This way if and when we need him later in the tournament, he’ll be ready.”

Charleston has been on a winning streak and effortlessly beat all of their opponents during the state tournament outscoring their opponents by 55 points.   The Midwest Regionals were not much different just a little more difficult.  They dominated the game, infield, outfield, hitting, scoring, running, and pitching.  The Fighting Squirrels seem unstoppable.
