Sikeston, Missouri - Due to safety concerns caused by recent rainfall, the groundbreaking ceremony for Three Rivers College’s new Eastern Campus will be moved to the Family Life Center at Life Church in Sikeston. The event will still begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 15. After the remarks by local leaders, there will be a small photo opportunity at the work site.

“Given the heavy rains recently, and the muddy conditions at the site, it’s both safer and more comfortable for our guests to hold the bulk of the ceremony at Life Church,” said Michelle Reynolds, Development Officer for Three Rivers. “We’re grateful to Life Church for the use of their facilities as a backup, and for helping us continue with the ceremony as planned.”

Life Church is located at 951 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston. For more information about the groundbreaking ceremony or the Eastern Campus project, or to make a donation, call Michelle Reynolds at 573-472-6650.

Three Rivers College is committed to contributing to the quality of life in Southeast Missouri with quality, affordable higher education opportunities and community services that support and encourage the economic, civic, and cultural vitality of the region.
