Romans 12:1-2 NKJV
(1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
(2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
You’ve heard it said, “The one who dies with the most toys wins.”
Is that success? Having your dreams come true? Getting all you want? Earning enough money so that you never have to work again? Is that what it is all about?
May I tell you what success is? And I say this without equivocation. Success is the progressive realization of the will of God for your life. That’s what it is.
It’s not how much money you have. It’s not how famous you are. It’s not how healthy you are. It’s not how many friends you have or how many toys you have acquired. Success is nothing more, nothing less, than the progressive realization of the will of God for your life.
Do you want to know God’s will? Do you want your heart’s desire to come true?
What does God require of you? Read Micah 6:8.
Micah 6:8 NKJV
(8) He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
What is God calling you to do? Read Psalm 37:4.
Psalms 37:3-9 NKJV
(3) Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
(4) Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
(5) Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
(6) He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
(7) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
(8) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.
(9) For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.
