Poplar Bluff, Missouri - The area school superintendents recently gathered in Poplar Bluff at the Three Rivers campus for a monthly meeting. The Three Rivers College Board of Trustees installed six new officers at their most recent meeting on April 10th.
The members of the Bord of Turstees are elected by voters that belong to the college district. The Board holds the governing power of Three Rivers College. Their terms will each last six years, but the terms are staggered so that only two positions are up for re-election in an even amount of years.
The college district is divided into sub-districts, which are responsible for electing the trustees. The sub-districts are aligned by school district but follow the county boundaries. Based on population, there is one board member from Wayne, Carter, and Ripley counties while there are three members from Butler.
Pictured from left to right are Randy Grassham, Vice-Chairman; Wilbur Thornton; Randy Winston; Ben Ressell, Secretary; Phil Davis, Treasurer; and Darren Garrison, Chairman.
