Glen Dale Mouser

Glen Dale Mouser, son of the late Hadley Mouser and Mildred Thomas Mouser, was born on December 19, 1935, in Zalma, Missouri, and passed away on March 30, 2013, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 77 years.

Mr. Mouser was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Essex.  He had been employed as a truck driver for ABF Freight System, Inc. and was a longtime resident of Essex.

Glen Dale was a very loving, caring, humble, generous, strong Christian man loved by many. He was the type of man to give you the shirt off his back and not expect a single gesture in return. He was the rock of his family and has provided more support than one can imagine throughout his years to countless people, family, friends and strangers alike. Glen Dale had a heart bigger than his body and was truly a man of faith. He will be missed more than words can express but we know he is with his savior Jesus Christ and will forever be in our hearts.

On February 18, 1956, he was united in marriage to Ruth Lawson in Hernando, Mississippi.  Mrs. Mouser survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Gale Jordan, of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Brenda Wilson, and her husband, Kurt, of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Kim King of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, James Mouser of Hazelwood, Missouri; by two sisters, Willie Mae Back of Orchid Farms, Missouri, and Barbara Goodman of Florrisant, Missouri; by ten grandchildren, Kristy Jordan, Amy Ash, Gale Jordan Jr., Ryan Mouser, Derek Wilson, Ashley Mouser, Justin Hare, Amanda King, Tyler Wilson, and Trey Wilson and also by  twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Dale Mouser and Robert Glen Jordan; and by one brother, Thomas Mouser.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Tim Russell, Rev. Marlin Durham and Rev. Larie Burdine officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
