Dexter, Missouri – Start getting your 5 person bowling team together and join Ten Pins for Ben this Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Dexter Bowl on Two Mile Road.

You will have an awesome time supporting a great fundraiser.  This event is sponsored by the Ben Kruse 18 FORE Life organization.

Scott and Keri Kruse of Dexter along with a host of friends created 18 FORE Life and this year they plan to pass the one million dollar mark in love offerings to area cancer patients.  “We never could have dreamed this up,” says Scott.  He and his wife spend numerous hours with volunteers throughout the area coordinating the efforts of this wonderful charity.

About six years ago they were trying to decide what type of fundraiser they could start during the cold, winter months and the Ten Pins for Ben was established.

The funds raised during the event have been distributed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a true place of miracles.  In the first four years of the Ten Pins for Life Fundraiser, they were able to send over $26,000 to St. Jude.

“The idea of the 18 FORE Life came from a simple idea among a bunch of high school buddies,” noted Kruse. “We never dreamed that is would evolve into giving away a million dollars in love offerings,” he continued. “I cannot say enough about this community and how they have continued to help others in their time of need.  It just takes seeing a smile on a cancer survivor’s face to know that it have all been worthwhile.”

Addie and Andie know all too well about helping folks and about St. Jude.  They are the daughters of Scott and Kerri and when Andie was about three years old she became seriously ill.  Her doctor urged her parents to take her to St. Jude in Memphis.  She was a patient for only a short time; however the experience left quite an impression on her and her family.

Andie saw a lot of children struggling to survive and kids who had lost most or all of their hair, some had to deal with shots and needles and chemo treatments, and the folks at St. Jude were so kind and helpful.

Andie and Addie want everyone to come out and bowl.  “It feels good doing something like this,” explained Andie.

The Kid’s Bowling begins at 10 a.m. and they can bowl until 1:30 p.m.  At 2:00 p.m. the Bowling Session begins and will run until 4:30 p.m.  No skill required! So there is not one excuse to not come out and have a good time for a great cause.

To reserve a spot, call Scott Kruse at 573-624-8751 or email your reservations to s10k102002@yahoo.com.
