Nadine Joyce Ford

Nadine Joyce Ford, daughter of the late Harold James Carter and Beatrice Perry Carter, was born on December 1, 1939, in Avert, Missouri, and passed away on January 20, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 73.

Mrs. Ford was a member of the First Methodist Church in Bell City, Missouri and a resident of rural Advance.   She worked as a cook at the Bell City Schools, was a former employee of Elder Manufacturing in Bloomfield and Paramount Hat Company in Advance.

She was united in marriage to Charles Edward Ford on July 22, 1960.  Mr. Ford preceded her in death on September 17, 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Dean Ford and his wife, Pamela, of Advance, Missouri, and Jeffery Allen Ford and his wife, Angela, of Nixa, Missouri; and by four sisters, Erna Lee Robertson of Winfield, Missouri, Doris L. Carter of Bloomfield, Missouri, Linda Lois Christian of Blytheville, Arkansas and Gail Barker of Bloomfield, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Michael Walton Ford, Dustin Lee Ford, Michaela Ann Ford and Danielle Nicole Ford; and by one great-grandchild, Desmond L. Engelstad.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Gene Carter.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Sue Welborn officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Tillman Cemetery near Advance, Missouri.
