Poplar Bluff, Missouri - Poplar Bluff High School Sho-Me Marching Band was among only eight bands selected across the state of Missouri to perform during the Missouri Inaugural Parade.

Under the direction of Stephen Winters the Marching Band will step off around 10:00 am, Monday, January 14th in Jefferson City.  "This is quite the honor for Poplar Bluff.  We have an awesome group of kids who really enjoy performing." stated Winters.

The parade will end at the state Capitol, where the swearing-in ceremony for five statewide elected officials will take place.

The inauguration is scheduled only every four years at noon on the second Monday in January when, according to Missouri law, the governor’s term starts.
