The Bearcat on the Fence

The Bearcat on the Fence
If you haven't passed by Charles "Seed" Bland Stadium lately you definitely need to make sure you come out to the game for Senior night.  One of the projects that the Dexter High School Student Council did for Homecoming is worth seeing.

For the project of the fence decorations in the past many people have used red Solo cups stuck in the chain link fence to create a design.  This year Student Council decided to do something a little different.

The Student council advisor, Jennifer Miller, and the Student Council looked for some things that would stand out and look nice for homecoming weekend.  They found a product from The Prom Nite Company.  It is small, reusable, plastic inserts that fit into the diamond shaped gaps in the chain-link fencing around the football stadium.

"The company sent us a small picture of how they were supposed to be installed."  Miller recalled.  "It was very time consuming and difficult to complete, but the results turned out awesome.

Student council members; Honey Patel, Rebecca Singh, and Kasity Twaddell completed the design.  These students had to transfer the design from a small picture that was sent to the Prom Nite Company onto the fence by counting each space on that area of the fence.

This project turned out great and really looks awesome. It is something that will catch the eye of the fans and intimidate the opposing teams as they enter the stadium.

Be sure to come check out the great job that these students did on this awesome piece that helps to dress up Charles "Seed" Bland Stadium for Senior Night at tonight's game.
