Bloomfield- The Beta Trio at Bloomfield High school competed in the Special Talent Division at the National Beta Club Convention in Greensboro, N.C and are now national champions.
The trio is made up of Simone Pry soon to be senior at Bloomfield and now graduates Maggie Thorn and Rebekah Northern. The girls all sang and Maggie also played the guitar to the songs "If I Die Young" and "Down to The River to Pray".
The trio had placed first earlier this year at the state level Beta talent competition in Branson. The National Convention was in Greensboro, N.C this year on June 27-30. The trio called theirselves "The Band Bloom" and were the first group to preform of the thirteen states that were there.
This is the first group from Bloomfield to ever win first place at a National level competition. This is a very big accomplishment for the girls and the school. Other winners from Bloomfield were Zachary Goode, who was running for the National Beta President. Zac lost by one vote placing second. Also the Bloomfield Skit Team, which includes 24 students, placed fourth in the nation in the Skit Division.
