Special Guest Speaker At The FBC
On Sunday, July 29th during 10:30am Worship Service at the First Baptist Church there will be a guest speaker named Gracia Burnham.

Gracia and her husband Martin are missionaries with New Tribes Mission for 17 years. Martin was a jungle pilot who delivered mail and other necessities to the villagers. Gracia supported many roles, but one thing she did was home- school children. While they were there they were kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf terrorists. were forced into a life on the run in the Philippine jungle. They were in captivity for over a year where they were nearly starved and constant exhaustion. Gracia suffered gunshot wounds and Martin was killed when the Philippine military tried to rescue them from the terrorists.

Gracia is the author of In The Presence of My Enemies and To Fly Again. She now lives in Rose Hill, Kansas. She has even made a few trips back to the Philippines. Gracia and her children still love the Philippines even after everything that has happened to them.

Dental Ministry Helping People One Tooth At A Time
The Dental Ministry works to help people who wouldn't normally be able to afford dental care to be able to have it. Their mission is to make dental care affordable and for it to be conveniently located for people in the area. The Dental Ministry is help the last Saturday of every month. Last month there were thirty-eight people there and the dentist preformed ninety-eight extractions. This is a very touching way to help people not only to ease their pain, but to help them find the Lord as well. There are still people who do care and the dentist, dental assistance, Hope-International, and Lighthouse Church want to show people just that.

FBC Dexter Kicks Off
The Dexter First Baptist Church kicked off it's annual Vacation Bible School on Monday, July 9, with a crowd of 174 kids and 220 workers on the first day.

Bible school is the 9th-13th from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the First Baptist Church in Dexter. The theme this year is "Amazing Wonders". Everyone is welcome and if your child wasn't here on Monday doesn't mean they can't come this week. Bring your kids any time! The more kids there the more fun and beneficial it is for the kids!

Bible school is a summer time all day activity center for the kids to have fun and learn about how important God is in their lives. They will learn songs, listen to stories from the Bible that they can understand, and play all sorts of fun games. They will be busy all day with things they find fun and interesting that relate to what they will be learning about God. It really is a great experience for the kids.

Hope to see you all there!
