POPLAR BLUFF -  The Three Rivers College Music Department, by arrangement with Cameron Mackintosh Ltd., will present the musical “Just So” May 2-4 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.

“Just So,” with music by George Stiles and lyrics by Anthony Drewe, is inspired by the children’s stories of Rudyard Kipling, author of “The Jungle Book” and the “Just So Stories.”  The musical also features orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke and Associate Orchestrator John Clancy.

Over 1,700 area elementary students from Poplar Bluff, Malden, Twin Rivers and Puxico will visit the Three Rivers campus to watch the show on May 2, 3 and 4. A public performance will be held Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Admission to the evening performance is $5 per person and tickets will be available at the door.

The student cast, crew and orchestra include: Landon Hall, Shelle Killian, Brandon Sindle, Shawn Slavings, all of Dexter; Daniel Atwood, Henry Breitkopf, Jessica Deken, Tierra Higgins, Keith McCoy, Brett Russell, Alexander Swenson, Clayton Vass, Meagan Woodruff, all of Poplar Bluff; Donald Falk, Stephanie Henning, Logan McDonald, Silva Oesterreicher, Stephen Oesterreicher, Jonathon Scott, and  Melissa Stark, of Doniphan; Felicia Johnstone, Piedmont; Casey Julian, New Madrid; Olivia Nelson, Tabitha Pierce, Kaitlin Morgeson, Chad Belt, Jessica Jackson, all of Neelyville; Trevor Robinson,Sikeston; Allison Wilfong, Puxico; Cody Wilhelm, Taylor Heskett. Zalma; Cody Young, Naylor; Pride Wilder, Ellsinore; Tom Ricketts, Thayer)with choreographic assistance from Amy Shaver, Hartville.

The orchestra will also include area adult music educators Scott Rybolt from Dexter, Audrey Bjornsen of Bloomfield and Three Rivers College instructors William White and MaryRuth Boone. Technical assistance has been offered by Robert Abney and Jon Abney. The production is directed by Three Rivers College music instructor Cindy White.
