Robert Lee Edwards, son of the late Lewis Lee and Daisy Ann Baker Edwards, was born in Canalou, Missouri on June 21, 1932, and passed away at his home in Essex, Missouri on April 12, 2012, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 22 days.
He had lived in Essex most of his life and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
On November 25, 1950, he was married to Dorothy Lee Gromer in Essex.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Edwards of Essex; one son, Mike Edwards of Dexter and two daughters, Rebecca Edwards of Essex qnd Linda Cloninger of Brownwood; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; by one brother, Charles Edwards of Bloomfield and two sisters, June Hunsaker of Dexter and Pansy Jones of Michigan. Other family and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Tussing and Hazel Edwards, in infancy; and one grandson, Michael Trammell.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Ronnie McAtee of Advance officiating.
Interment will be in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
He lived in the Cape Girardeau area most of his life. He was a member of the Cape Eagles Aerie.
Surviving are two sons, Billy and Johnny Schaefer both of Dexter; by grandchildren, Hunter MacRay Trudeau, Kaylee Schaefer, Hanna Schaefer, and Sheldon "PeeWee" Schaefer; and by one great-granddaughter, Ember Trudeau. Other family and friends also survive.
A private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Terry Glen Strickland, son of the late John Marvin and Mildred Louise Teel Strickland, was born in Dexter, Missouri on November 16, 1952, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on April 7, 2012, at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 22 days.
He had worked as a plumber with his father and was also a truck driver. He had lived in Southeast Missouri most of his life, living in Gideon, Clarkton and had lived in Puxico the past four years.
On May 12, 1996, he was married to Doris J. Holt Cross in Dexter.
Surviving are his wife, Doris J. Strickland of Puxico; one daughter, Betty Strickland of Hanover, Pennsylvania; two sons, Terry Robert Strickland of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Brandon Lee Strickland of Oklahoma; two step-sons, Jonquenton and Christopher David Cross both of Dexter; two grandchildren; and by one sister, Karen Winchester of Piggott, Arkansas; four brothers, Marvin Dale Strickland of Kennett, Donald Strickland of Risco, Kenny Strickland of Gideon, and Bobby Strickland of Puxico. Other family and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 11a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter with Sister Bonnie Cannell of Dexter, officiating.

Doyle Ernest White, son of the late James Lee and Pauline D. Williams White, was born in Gideon, Missouri on January 20, 1956, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on April 9, 2012, at the age of 56 years, 2 months and 20 days.
He had lived in the Gideon and Malden areas all his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Gideon Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Wanda Elder of Malden, Phillis Ross of Chicago, Illinois and Shirley Wilkins of Hornersville. Other family and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jackie Oswald, George Oswald and Charles White.
Memorial services will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Gideon Baptist Church in Gideon, Missouri.
